Absolute nightmare to find, the postcode applies to Ashford House but also to Llandetty hall 0.75 miles away. if you go, the access is north of the postcode given, only found it by accident after stopping yet again to look at notes. Then I spent ages walking through chest high grass looking for the boulder step over the electric fence - which was not there - access by river a couple of hundred yards away by the river. The notes need updating. By the time I had found the river I had lost the will to fish.

A super beat - our first time here - thank you to the WUF team for the advice! Definitely one to come back to - easy access, nicely maintained, nice setting and some great fishing.
Warm, humid day with a mix of sunshine and the odd spattery shower. Low water. The odd fish showing on the surface to give encouragement - a few slashing rises and a couple of fish rising persistently - with periodic hatches including the occasional may fly.
All the main pools produced fish - with 2 from the Stone Catch among the boulders on dry flies (rusty klink and grey wulff - with another fish lost and a couple missed), 4 from Lady Alexanders Catch and 2 from the Abernant Stream. Plenty of other chances missed as well. Downstream weighted nymphs in small sizes were the most productive approach today as the fish generally sought cover in the deeper faster sections.
