Regret only 2 hours fishing am - had to leave as friend unwell. Will be back to this beat soon, as previous 2 visits yeilded good barbel returns.

River looked good after recent rain. Sadly the fishing didn’t reflect this. Two WBT on nymphs from bottom of beat but only fished for 3 hours in afternoon. Met a non fishing member of syndicate that fishes the beat who told me of the fine fishing to be had in former years ( a familiar tale). Sad to note much litter at a couple of spots on the beat including bottles, cans and throw away bbq!

Good days fishing. Low water conditions suprisingly not to much conoe traffic.
All Chub caught on Cheesey hinders dumbell baits.

Sadly no fish today, started late 11am just down from burger van, finished at 4pm,lovely weather, lovely day, slight wind. Always next time.!

Overcast to start with damp in the air. 2 5lb barbel first thing with a few chub late morning. Met my 2 mates for lunch in the pub and the three of us fished in the afternoon through to 2030. I had a number of chub on the float down the bottom and 4 more on the feeder up the top. Mr P had 3 barbel late on to 8lb. SM struggled in a shallow swim below him and really should have moved but barbel were in the area. Feeders and pellets took most of the fish, hemp and meat on the float.
