River very low which restricted swim selection, fished lower end of beat and had two nice chub 5lb 9oz and 4lb both on pellet

Showery day. Cooler breeze later on. Only 8" but strikingly patterned and in great 'nick'. Fell to the mighty PTN. Cheered by the site of a king fisher streaking downstream. Returned the nod from an industrious dipper. Fished hard, turned two larger
fish. Narrowly avoided a blank on my last day of the trout season.

Hooked a rainbow on a traditional wet fly but inexplicably it came off.

Water was up a bit so slightly more tricky getting around, Fished the afternoon, two grayling on pt with a bit of flash. A very beautiful stretch of river wye.
