It was as dead as a dodo. No takes whatsoever. May well have been down to my incompetence, I’m not sure. Anyway I was using the ‘Klink and Dink’ method. I tried various flies to adjust my depth, but to no avail. Towards the end of my day I did see a lively salmon swimming at the top of the beat - the only fish I saw all day. Still an enjoyable day, and I don’t regret giving it a go.

0 fish. One bite from 8.30 am to 3.30 pm. 2 consecutive blank fishing days on the worm. Beautiful place to go and take in the scenery. Just shame about the fishing, goes like that sometimes.

Always look forward to a day here but things were a bit slow today, probably due to the low river conditions, still a nice place to spend the day.All the Barbel were around 6-7 lbs and the Chub were a good size with a couple nearing 5 lb s,hoping to return here in more favourable conditions.

Low level water conditions but fish were still feeding well.
Total for 4 anglers using a mixture of float and ledger tactics. Biggest Barbel 9lb 5oz and Chub to over 4lb.
Beautiful place to spend the day with well maintained swims and good access.
