The ‘Other’ was an eel… & a fairly decent sized one at that!

We stayed away from the fast water at the end of the beat. Good day on this lovely beat.

Trotting the main flow excellent day with chub and barbel ,conditions perfect . Will return with lighter gear as it was a bit of a trek. Well worth it though.

All caught on float with sweetcorn or rolling meat

Snaggy water for feeder fishing but the fish were there in decent numbers. All three anglers caught barbel up to 5lbs which made it a pretty good day out.

Lovely tranquil beat. River very low. Rises only seen at very bottom of the beat around lunchtime and at the very top in the pool below the fast water later in the afternoon. Trout on parachute adams, grayling on nymph (hare's ear). Missed a couple and lost a large fish on the nymph.

Spent most of the afternoon trotting but only small fish to show for it. Couldnt locate Chub or Barbel.
2 Dace, 1 Roach, 1 Eel.
