3 barbel between us. Best was 8lb. Lost a couple. Also a chub and 3 eels.

We fished at the bottom end of the fishery in the big pool. Hundreds of chub were clearly visible, milling around. I caught fish at will on a float & free lining pellets, such fun! My mates also caught lots, including at least 5 barbel.
A small amount of ranunculus is growing back in places but the fish are clearly shoaling in the deeper pools due to the lack of weed cover

Fished early and late. One small Chub in the morning, three small Barbel in the evening. Not as much weed as I remember from previous visit here some years ago. Looking forward to reading catch returns that complain about the large amounts of weed being cut upstream snagging lines!

Always enjoy this beat - very tough today though - fish caught on a very small PTN hanging under a klinkhammer. All healthy, and all returned.

17 grayling, all 11-13 inches, rising well all day to small olives. 3 browns, to 14", best in late evening (9.30-10.15pm)
