Fished from 5pm till 8pm two trout one got off, both took phn .plenty of insect life when the sun came out around 7 pm but no signs of fish rising. what a great place to be on a summers evening.

First time at this beat, and it is a gem! Plenty of swims well prepared, including one with 2 bottles of Bishops Finger. Was I right to leave them be or was it a bonus for the early risers? Fished 06:00 to 09:00, three Chub 3lb to 5lb on meat. Went quiet at around 08:00. Returned in the evening, nothing doing an various baits until I tried Cheese! 1 barbel, 8lb 3oz, thought it was bigger but not a Barbel weight expert so used the scales. Very pleased. Thank You.
