Scenic spot & the sun shone, but no fish. Water level still quite low. Some algae in places near the bank. A couple of fish rising at the lower end, but that was it! A Swan & Kingfisher visiting was nice at least..

River still very low,weed has cleared now,chilly day but still a nice days fishing 1 barbel in the first swim to 7lb then after going quiet moved and had another two barbel 6&7 lb again with three chub all above 3lb to ledgered pellet and barbel taken on hinders bb pellets wrapped in bb paste.

Struggled with conditions and felt the best bet was to bait and wait. 2 chub was the result.

Access to the upstream section is limited to 3 paths and very difficult to walk the river path. The down stream section has only 4 fishable swims.
Both sections are not as advertised and need work doing.

Trotting the main flow as per norm. Caught a lady of the river and then followed 2 decent chub 4/5 lb. 2 barbel later in the day 7lb/ 6lb. As always stated 1 barbel caught on the stick worth 20 on the lead.

My friend and myself blanked for the fourth time in a row. They obviously aren't stocking the lake.

Certainly know autumn has arrived ! The river is obviously low and clear at the moment which is going to make it more difficult but at least some fish were caught. Promising to see streamer weed in the shallows albeit slightly stunted. The stretch itself has decent access to swims apart from the top field which is wasted. The parking is easy. Both barbel came late in the day/eve. I reckon the minnows are getting braver! Watch out for the wasps nests in the banks there’s a few! Would like to return when there’s more water on
