Better fishing , now it’s warming up , fish on nymphs and dries , good hatch of olives and some March Brown

30 inch hen fish, fresh bar of silver, for my son Malcolm Burch on a fast sink tip and Abacus tube fly from the Vanstone Pool.

No fish - fished the southern section on the east bank

I only had an hour. The parking slot at the hut was taken and I could not find the pedestrian access beyond the caravan site. Below the bridge was being fished. No fish caught. One rise to a tan Klinkhammer

Nothing caught, 2 bites whilst nymphing

All returned safely!!!

Saw several fish rise, but sadly no bites. River looked on good condition, with several fly hatches throughout the day.

Lovely day fly fishing, plenty rising but none took the hook! Will definitely be back! Without waders the water was rather cold!

River low and clear. 2 brown trout returned, about 4oz and 8oz.
