ZERO fish and we got both cars stuck due to some rain falling whilst fishing there. The track 100% is not suitable for none 4x4 when any amount of rains falls so do not drive down to the river! We paid the farmer £25 each for towing us out so it was a very expensive BLANK lol

Fishing Passport Note : There is a mention in the beat description on the website... Vehicle access permitted right down to the river bank. No 4x4 necessary but the grass can get long and after rain, vehicle access to the river bank is not guaranteed. Please consider rain forecast before deciding to park riverside and use your own judgement. If you have to park at the entrance to the fishery there is an approx. 400m walk to the river

River in good shape, up about 3 feet from previous morning, good colour and floating debris reducing. Plenty of swims to go at and more available if you are prepared to do a bit of gardening. Anyone paranoid about anglers on the other bank might want to avoid the top half of the stretch. However there is really only one swim that is directly opposite anglers on the other bank. Nice day on the Wye

Just fished the morning session as this was final day of 4 days - River level rising rapidly and water temp was certainly lower.
Unfortunately not a knock but out of 3 and half days caught 8 Barbel and around 10 Chub and will certainly be back

With a peak at over 2m yesterday and at the gauge at over 1.4 this this AM, the Wye here was a different river to the summer with the fastest water being unapproachable but easy wading over the middle of the beat where previously it was dry. Water was very coloured with 6" visibility. 4 Grayling didn't fully commit and one at about 15" to the net, quickly returned. (Crystal Prince interpretation). Lovely day.

1 Grayling
