5 Barbel, 2 Chub

River 2 meters up and rising slowly, moved around to try and find them, just the one Barbel willing to take a bait

Weather very mild and the river was high and coloured - great day but no barbel on this occasion.

River high and very murky with runoff, tough conditions. Too tricky to wade in most places so access difficult. Bumped one fish in one of the slower glides, not that there were any really!

It’s a great stretch of water though, would love to come back in better conditions!

The weather was against us being quite windy with the river up by 2.3m at Builth Gauge so not conducive to a productive day. No fish but a superb location and lovely piece of water

River rising, warm air temperature, 10 degrees water temperature. 3 fishing but no fish, 1 Barbel lost late in the afternoon on Chub setup

Unfortunately a lot of over night rain meant the river was rising with a lot of colour, reaching 1.3m !
Still plugged away on the float rod but only managed one Grayling.

A good day on the river albeit a blank for all three anglers. With a lot of rain preceding our pike trip we weren’t expecting much with the river levels high and colored. Will definitely be returning on the passport.

River was up but falling with a little colour. To high to Wade and get the fly rods out so trotted with maggot. Some nice Grayling landed to around the pound mark!
Will definitely be back when we have some more settled weather.
