18 x grayling 6 - 19 inches, trotting. Mostly shotts up to about 11-12 inches, but two lovely cock grayling at 18 and 19 inches. An unusually warm day with some dark olives hatching, sadly not to last.

No catch. Lovely stretch, unfortunately access to the river very difficult.

First time on this new beat – a lovely stretch of water with plenty to go at. Access is great from the bottom car park, you can zig-zag your way upstream, in the water for the most part and having to get out into the field when you reach a few of the deeper pools. It was tough going – it seems to be more about quality, than quantity on these beats. Both grayling and one of the OOS trout were over 40cm.

Blanked rubbish not even a nibble

Two of my mates fished this beat, a tough day no fish

Blank. Cold weather and rising river affected fishing.

Hurricane winds and freezing cold but still managed to catch a few chub, no Barbel showed.
Awful conditions !
