Fished a few hours in the morning from bottom of beat to road bridge. Water seemed very grey considering how clear it was the day before at Knill (until a load of 4x4s turned round IN the ford!!). Plus a bit odd couple of foamy/scum patches-not sure if this is normal as wild streams are new to me! Also saw a mink

Great day in a very beautiful place, however saw two groups of people bait fishing one man with his son using worms and another group of 3 the father holding a fly rod in which case he should know better and the two lads with bait tackle. Not really that bothered as I had my daughters with me and it was only £11 to fish but but if I had wanted a few hours serious fishing would not have appreciated it.

Very disappointed as very few swims are accessible.
River was very low and clear and the Weather was hot and sunny making fishing difficult

Very poor. The bottom section of the fishery is now used for picnics, swimming and dog exercising. It’s an expensive day ticket and unfortunately there is no control of these activities. It really was a rather wasted day on a very low level.

Fished the left hand bank from 5 o’clock to 7:30 and managed to catch a barbel just as the sun left the water. It was the only bite, so a welcome surprise given the conditions. Fished pellet on a running lead.

Had a good day despite the low water conditions and hot sun. Some nice Chub through the afternoon ,and the Barbel were caught right at the end of the day with the biggest around 8 lbs.Good to finally see the group of large Carp on the beat but they were not feeding today.

Baited the swim little and often for an hour with hemp and pellets then fished a small bag with a 14mm pellet on the hair. River very low and slow still but a very enjoyable evening
