Access to river extremely difficult, barbed wire fences making it impossible to fish most of it. Very nice fishing in the bits I could get to. Had an enjoyable day but better access would make it so much better. Biggest trout 12ins

A great days fishing on a beautiful stretch of the wye. All fish caught on meat, pellet and corn - both feeder and rolling meat
The other was an eel which took a pellet!? River was low but overcast at times with rain.

Day 2 of our trip was a mirror of the first; fish not to be found in their usual spots, but moving around paid off. Better fish came from the slower and deeper sections at the top of the beat. NB: Great caution required on the path down to the bottom swims, which has been almost completely washed away by the winter floods - parts of it are extremely treacherous, so be careful!

Brilliant day. The rain helped in the evening. Had six fish the largest around a pound and in mint condition. All put back where they belong. Good fly life in patches but as it went dark the river was boiling and was really good sport.
