Hi, I had an early start, starting on the lower beat with plenty of Brownies showing, after breakfast I went along the woodland on the upper beat with trout showing and 4 large Browns feeding towards the end of the beat. Then down to the middle with Brownies showing all along.
This is a lovely beat with something for every one to enjoy.
Thank you
Nigel

Hard work today. Just one take on the nymph (and shaken off) and no rising fish (other than tiny graylets). I don'r recall seeing such low water levels in June

The river was very low and clear which made fishing hard. The banks on this stretch are dangerously steep and certainly not conducive to a comfortable days fishing, so we only fished from 11.00 - 16.00. I won’t be booking here again.

Fab second day. All fish using feeder method (except the trout and one small chub which were caught on fly). The two barbel we're awesome and both around 8lb but very strong and solid fish both caught in the early evening. Had a couple of 2lb chub and many small chub youngsters. We stayed at the glamping site at Whitney Bridge which was excellent although not the cheapest but I'd still recommend it.
