Yet another tough day with the fish seemingly not interested in feeding. Not so much as a bite all day.

Trout , was taken on a nymph . length 4" appprox. Water was low with warm weather.

Fished the shallow water today, lots of Chub to 5lb & 5 Barbel to 8 1/2lb.

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day ? Despite the full bore sunshine and low twenties heat we caught most of our fish on dries in challenging conditions. My partner stayed on after 6 for the evening rise and found the fish more obliging with the sun off the water. Kingfishers in profusion.

Booked Dinas and Abercynrig together but all fish from Abercynrig

Very bright day with a little wind. Fished from 13.00 untill 19.00... 1 trout on the fly. Yellow and pink blob.

Bright sunny day and low and clear river. Fished the pools in the first meadow. 2 barbel around the 6 pound mark the rest much smaller. Chub all around the half to 1 pound mark. Others were eels. All fish caught on meat.
