August bank holiday Saturday was not the best time to visit. Several groups of wild campers with canoes and off road motorbikes up at the top end spoiled the peace and quiet!
Fished most of the way round in a chilly north wind hooked 3 Trout which all came off.

River rising due to recent rain got the fish on the feed. The fish came later in the day. Marginal diversions were pursued due to the river rocketing through. Slippery banks. Be careful. Good average size barbel. Lost one decent chub
