Morning was surprisingly slow, we thought the low water level may have been an issue. All fish came from late afternoon in to the evening, once we had found the deeper water. What could have been....

8 Barbel 10 or so chub. Lucky stone again. Noticeably less chub, which gave the barbel a chance. Had some lovely fish one pushing 10lb.
Fish came steadily during the day. All but one of barbel on feeder with ground bait and double 8mm pellet. other on trotted meat. They were quite cute and didn’t want big baits. Had to fish lighter than I would have liked in order to get bites. Canoeists back in force which I think effected such a shallow swim. River gin clear and low.

Perfect conditions, really disappointing fishing. Loads of anglers trying every different method and no fish being taken.

The other fish were ! Carp ,1 large eel
Nice venue apart from drunken canoests ,and people carrying dogs on their canoes ,then throwing small footballs for the dogs to retrieve , on our side of the river ,very doubtful that I would return to the river ,as I had also paid £200 for a guide !,
I certainly wont be recommending that any one would buy a weekend day ticket,for the Wye, very disappointed.
