Hard fishing on a hot day. Bites were few and far between. A few barbel ( biggest nudging 7lb) and a small chub. Standard ledger tactics with a variety of baits.
Lots of canoeists, the majority were polite and considerate. A couple not quite so.
Hopefully tomorrow brings some more action

3 Barbel, 1 Chub

Fished both groins with pellet and meat. Sporadic chub with a few from the pylon hole on meat. Managed a 6lb barbel last knockings which was a relief! Lost one earlier in the day. Great day with all chub good sizes up to 4lb.

All fish returned, best fish 2lb grayling.

2 Trout, 8 Grayling

Couple of hours early in day on way back to London. Not a bite. Fish around but not taking what I was casting.

Nothing happening on the trout front, but i did see a salmon near the deep pool on the bend near the army camp.

Many thanks, unfortunately no fish seen.

River low but not desperately so. Fish were hard to find and few rises seen other than those to my fly. Caught 5 to 9" on a small deer hair and cdc sedge.

3 trout to 9" on a small nymph. Many fewer fish apparent than I would have expected from visits earlier in the year.
