Water low and clear. Caught four brown trout, two on a parachute adams and two from a deep pool on a nymph. A good few hours' fishing .

It was a hard morning at the hut end producing only 4 chub so we moved down to far end . Much better 6 barbel and one monstrous carp weighing in at 20 lb . All caught on method with marine halibut pellet .

Short evening trip but yielded a few at the death! Feeder tactics working on a lovely evening by the river.

Really enjoyed fishing this beat for the first time even though it was only for a couple of hours in the evening. Lucky for me that I managed to find fish on my first cast!

6 Barbel

Hard fishing on a hot day. Bites were few and far between. A few barbel ( biggest nudging 7lb) and a small chub. Standard ledger tactics with a variety of baits.
Lots of canoeists, the majority were polite and considerate. A couple not quite so.
Hopefully tomorrow brings some more action

Fished both groins with pellet and meat. Sporadic chub with a few from the pylon hole on meat. Managed a 6lb barbel last knockings which was a relief! Lost one earlier in the day. Great day with all chub good sizes up to 4lb.

All fish returned, best fish 2lb grayling.

Couple of hours early in day on way back to London. Not a bite. Fish around but not taking what I was casting.

Nothing happening on the trout front, but i did see a salmon near the deep pool on the bend near the army camp.
