river very low and clear.

1 Barbel, 5 Chub

All caught on nymphs, biggest trout was about 1lb 4oz, lost 2 more and one of those was a lot bigger. Nice beat.

4 Trout, 3 Grayling

Few fly hatching, little surface activity. 3 fish missed.

We got there late and had lunch in the Green Man so didnt give it our best shot! But we got a chubb and had a nice day

1 Chub

Caught at 12 50 landed 1.05 in Cafn. Size 8 yellow and red fly with jungle cock and a very lively cock fish.

1 Salmon

Rain 12.00pm onwards, river low and clear. Feeder, magg. Other dace bleak & small chub.

4 Barbel, 4 Chub, 40 Other

3 x grayling 6-14 inches, 11 x trout 6-14 inches, dry Grayling Steel Blue, 1 x coloured hen salmon, 31 inches, Hare's Lug and Plover spider. Grayling not really wanting to play at the surface this morning for some reason. Obviously the salmon which took the point fly of a team of size 16 spiders was accidental, but it's in season and I have a salmon ticket for this water, so I'm jolly well going to claim it! After necessarily more extended than usual playing on trout tackle it was tailed and released carefully - it kicked off alright. Incidentally there has been at least one more salmon taken at Builth this year - the bailiff mentioned a 16 pounds fish he took earlier this summer.

Salmon were quiet, tenkara rod came out for 1 Grayling and a trout.

9lb hen fish for Matt Cooper from the Dog Hole. Caught on a Bann Special. A few fish showing throughout the day.

Had couple of lovely Chub and one small Barbel from the church field.
Fished sweet corn and bread on a waggler .
