0.632 @ Knighton on Gaugemap. Water was clear and cool - and there was a reasonable amount of it! Windy at times.
Trout were hard to find but managed 3 wonderfully marked WBT - best was 12", all caught on a dark nymph with an orange hot-spot. All returned unharmed. No interest in dries today. Maybe the wind put them off.
Used a 9' 4wt with a long tapered leader to a 5lb tippet (which was probably a tad to much - but 3 trout didn't care so hey-ho!)
Lovely wild location. I found the instructions for parking a little confusing - it makes sense when you get there though. WUF maybe re-word them? WUF service was as good as it always has been - which is spot on - thanks!

Booking Office Note: Thanks for the feedback, we'll have a look at the map and directions accordingly.

Bright day, some cloud and intermittent breeze. On the water from 2 pm to 6 pm One tiddler - but nothing else and no significant activity. Lovely spot and on another day has the feel that there are fish to be caught.

Stuck to dry fly on upper section of beat. Two trout 6" and 11" with a couple more (and numerous salmon parr) self-releasing on the barbless hook. Very attractive section of water, but tricky wading on sloping slabs of bedrock in upper pools. Several flypasts by kingfisher.

River looked great with a tinge and about .7 m up. Access to most swims opposite the gardens especially boat house not really possible . Small beach at top end was nice however and opened account here with 2 good barbel on meat . Eel tempted me onto float and enjoyed trotting meat and corn for 1 lost barbel and about 100 dace - some very nice ones. Can't believe we didn't contact any good chub. We fished 10- 6. Pub calling.
