Very sunny and bright day. Plenty of Mayflies hatching but only saw 4 fish rising all day. Great to be out on the water all the same.

A lovely day. Water height at Ross was 0.24m, so low. Algae bloom ongoing but still fishable, with a good draw on the fly in most pools. Saw 2 salmon splashes in lower Vanstone pool. Friend had a 2 1/2 lb shad and I lost a fish on Stones pool which pretty sure, was also a shad. Unable to locate access points for upper and lower lines, and Gabions pools.

Lovely day spent on this picturesque lake. 7 carp landed, six of which were over 10lb the best went 16lb 4oz. One took a floating bait and the others were taken on a mixture of float and method feeder tactics, mostly using corn as the hookbait, but also a couple of fish on pellets. Some sign of spawning activity eggining, but plenty of fish still cruising the margins and happy to feed.

Great to get out onto this lovely beat. Weather very warm, bright and sunny with a gentle breeze. Water on the low side but not affecting enjoyment. Great variety of Mayfly trickling off all day. 7 trout from 6 - 10" all on dry fly. Missed more than I hooked, forgotten how lightening quick you need to be. All access in good order, thank you.

Hot and sunny all day, so the tree cover was quite useful. All taken on dries (deer-hair emerger, Adams, and LDOs) and all safely returned.

6 x trout 6-9 inches, Monnow Gosling. Brookside path very busy this morning with walkers, swimming dogs, etc. The great British public is certainly out and about again.
