The river was a good height but running crystal clear after the mid week deluge.
8 trout 4 to 8 inches all caught on a copper beaded nymph fished duo.
A few olives hatching after 1 when the sun was out and the temperature rose a few degrees.

Water quite high and a cold wind made for tough conditions. Lost a good fish early morning on PTN. About 2pm there was a very brief hatch of March Browns, lasted no more than 15 minutes but landed one 13 inch fish on the dry. Followed by another good 15 inch on a weighted Prince nymph in some faster flowing water. Nice stretch - will return.

A cold but lovely day on this very nice stretch of water. Fished from around 11:00 until 16:00 with no fish caught.

Had a great day, conditions where good in the morning and overcast with a nice wind coming up the lake and not to bright. Fish responded on dries for a short time before sunshine Ruined it. Us anglers are never happy. Love the place :)

If we had netted those that we missed , pricked or lost we would have had an exceptional day, a beautiful place to fish nonetheless, a nil return.

River rose over a foot as soon as I turned up! Long drive home

Great day but river brown as chocolate and pushing through. Unfishable really but still couldn’t resist standing in the river for the day. ????
