Treacherous conditions, slipped over numerous times on dangerous bank. River still in flood, debris coming down the river, I think this day should have been a WASH OFF!!

Fished until early afternoon. River dropping through the day but still coming through at quite a rate and lots of debris coming down. Fished meadow stretch. 1 barbel caught early afternoon as the rain began.

Great day, river was surprisingly fishable considering the rain last weekend. Will be returning.

1 Trout, 1 Grayling, 2 Other

River at about 2m. Only the meadow really fishable & then only a couple of swims accessible with the water at this level (a couple of feet lower would have made all the difference) so after a brief go without success we called it a day.

water still rather high, but most of the beat was easily fishable. started off near the church but could only fish one very small area as it was a bit too deep and very fast. fished various spots along 3/4 of the beat ( 2 other anglers also fishing ) and picked up the odd fish hear and there, all on nymphs. grayling to 11" oos trout to 14" and 3 parr

River up around 4ft but perfectly fishable. 5 chub to 4.6. 4 anglers fished from 2pm onwards.

Fished a new swim which proved to be productive in high water. Caught using just a hair rigged single pellet. Lost a few more to a snag. Fished there again later in the week an not a single bite. Location is key.

6 Barbel

Fish were not at home in the usual hotspots. Water had dropped about 4 foot, leaving the banks very slippery and making it dangerous to fish some swims. Found a few feeding fish late afternoon after losing more tackle.
