Cock fish with sea lice but looking a bit thin to Jon Daniels. About 8lbs in weight but not weighed from Wilton a catch which has not produced for a long time. Flying C.

One well mended Kelt from beat 5 nothing else seen, river looks in great shape.

No fish caught conditions far from ideal

Nothing seen and nothing touched - they must all be upstream at Ross! The wind was a growing problem today but the water looked perfect.

A tough day in pretty horrible conditions, especially the wind. The gauge was at 1ft with a slight tinge of colour. We saw a very sparse hatch of LDOs and no March Browns. 3 fish rose all day. Fish were taken on a spiders and dries with several more takes missed.

Not a great start to the season. Very wet and windy so I only fished for an hour or so. The only rise I saw was a cormorant which appeared at my feet. Both of us were very surprised!

Conditions were tough in high winds and rain. Generally a disappointing beat with canal like features i.e. no features! I walked a considerable distance but could not find anything that resembled an accessible swim other than one exposed spot as you first enter the field. I am a frequent river angler and took a wrong punt on this beat when targeting Barbel.
