A great days fishing on a superb beat. Found most of the fish in the very bottom pool, the water was up a bit but very fishable. Most fish caught french nymphing with heavy bugs - Lots of fish 8-10", with one larger grayling pushing 2lb. Top end of the beat is very rocky, looks like it would be brilliant trout water in the summer - will definitely book again.

2 Pike 6-8lb from the most pikey looking slacks on lure and mackerel. Warm December day full of wildlife including the biggest Mink I've ever seen, 3 cormorants and a flock of around a dozen grebes (glad I'm not a Salmon smolt!). On the upside I did see a Kelt jump in the tail of the Vanstone.
