This was the first time we have visited the waters. We found them much as you described quite difficult to fish except from wading in the stream. We noted some activity but no interest. We fished Rossett Weir to the straight cut section in the morning and then from 1-4 on the Straight cut to Griffin road bridge Section B in the afternoon. We enjoyed the day but not sure whether our lack of success was due to our lack of expertise or lack of fish.

Fished same stretch as Sunday on an evening ticket from 5 - 9.00pm
River clear, used same methods as Sunday and again every fly in the box. Scaled down to a weight 2 Cortland line, still no success. Also fished river at Rhayader same day with plenty of small trout but no fish from the Craig Llyn beat

Another great trip at middle hill court, love coming back to this stretch of river. Fishing was steady with bites coming throughout the day, fish came from both the top and bottom section. River was slightly up with a good bit of colour, weed was a slight pain building on the line but manageable.
Will certainly be back again next year.

Slight note to WUF: land owner, River could have more potential if more maintenance was carried out on swim accessibility . I know its nice to have it a little over grown , but productive swims we've fished in the past have completely over grown therefore the same few swims get fished and cleared. Other than that a great beat to fish, many thanks WUF.

first time on this beat, very impressed.feel we could have caught more if we had'nt had to deal with a lot of weed and debris being washed down by a rising river. Just a note to others visiting for the first time, when wet take care in some swims as access can be steep and very slippery.

Fished full day, rained all day. Fished floating line with nymphs, dries and wet flies, in fact almost used every fly in my box. Not a single take!!!
River was rising due to rain. Fished from Doldowlod caravan park for about a mile downstream
