No fish were taken. We only fished dry flies and had success with Mayflies and Adams Irresistible. We thought that the water might have been a little high and coloured.

Quiet day on the river, not much hatching and very few fish rising. This was my first day fishing in about 18 months so i'm a bit rusty, i'm sure a better angler could have made more of the day but i found it a tough one. Only one fish netted; a little 7" BT caught on a spider pattern fished upstream, i couldn't get a take to any dry fly. River was at a good level (0.29m on the Brecon gauge), coloured but clear.

Fish this new beat for the first time this afternoon. As the guide says, it takes about 2 hours from bottom to top.
Fish rising almost the whole length of the beat, but none large. I think you do need waders to keep your profile below the horizon.

Fished 8am-1pm.
A very enjoyable morning surrounded by abundant fly life, including some May flies, once the day warmed up a bit and splashing salmon. Very few rising fish.
Just above 0.8 on the Erwood gauge and falling. Carrying some colour.
First time on this beat and there is certainly a lot of water to cover. With Water temperatures in the mid 16’s I focused on the faster water. 5 trout to the net all on nymphs. Many bumped which at least kept the concentration up. Excitingly also landed 4 Shad. They have some real power. The largest getting on 3lbs and put up an incredible fight on my 3wt nymph rod.

Fishing Passport Note: Please remember that Shad are a protected species, therefore you cannot specifically target them and if you come across a shoal, you should look at moving to another pool.

Warm partially cloudy day, with an occasional strong down stream breeze. River very low, but with a tinge of colour.
Mayfly on the wing pretty much all day, beautiful to see!
Stuck on dry all day, fishing various Klinkhammer colours, didn't seem to bother the fish they just took everything!
Sadly the size of most of the fish were in the 4 - 6 inch range, with the occasional larger specimen. I did however land a 13 inch beauty, which pretty much made my day.
Overall a lovely day out.
