Water extremely low, of course. All four fish were caught during a lovely 20-minute spell between 8 and 9pm, on downstream nymph. They were only between 6 and 8oz; hooked one that felt bigger, but could get him into the net.

Started by the hut with every intention of moving around to the wood in the afternoon, but in the end caught regularly enough to stay put. 3 Barbel (including a fantastic looking "fingerling" of about 4oz) and 2 Chub in the morning. Then a quiet period. Baited and rested the swim and went for a natter with another angler, started again at about 3:30pm and caught 4 Barbel in the next hour or so. Evening was a bit disappointing with only 1 more Barbel (which was the biggest of the day at exactly 9lb) and 2 Pike (both on pellet). Most of the fish were caught on pellet, with a couple on sweetcorn.
Another great day, with 7 of the Barbel being over 6lbs, thanks WUF

Wonderful day for fishing with cloud cover most of the day. Started off below the wood for 3 chub around 3-4lbs. but was bringing more weed than fish & so moved up above the hut for the afternoon & found a few barbel to 7lbs. Very pleasant afternoon with the occasional company of a gentleman who had made the journey down from Suffolk; When we weren't talking he was catching Barbel...an experienced angler by comparison!
