Lovely day on the river.
1x hen 14lbs on a Bann Special to Gordon Walters and another lost. Rest of party had no contact nor did the fish show themselves which seems to be a common phenomenon of late.

Two nice barbel around 8lb and two very nice chub around 4lb. All caught at the lower part of the stretch in the afternoon. A tough days fishing exploring the whole stretch, persevering with heavier gear, but ultimately pretty satisfying.

Early frost, river back to low and slow. onditions seemed perfect but despite trying a number of spots and bait options, bites were hard to come by. 1 smallish chub and 1 clonking 11lb barbel, a PB!

Struggled a bit during the day and only picked up the odd chub on feeder tactics. Caught a few barbel towards the end of the day also on feeder. Fished various swims on the island section at the back of the beat.
