Extremely hot day, (30 degrees plus) conditions bright. Unsurprisingly, no trout seen or taken. Expensive day for no return, but compensated somewhat but the stunning setting. The river suffers in general (in these conditions) by the open public footpath which enables too many swimmers and dog walkers access to the river. Echo sentiments of the Australian traveler re access to Wifi and printer. We were staying on the canal, hence delay in submitting return. Completed as soon as able.

Weather was extremely hot on the day I fished and so I didn't start fishing until 6.30pm, fishing until dusk. A very enjoyable evenings angling on this lovely beat.

Very hot afternoon. Bright sunshine. Low water. Nothing doing but a beautiful spot. On it's day this must be a great place to fish for a few hours.

Had a great day at this beautiful Welsh mountain Llyn , went the picturesque mountain route from Rhayader, was superb on such a clear sunny day. Did think that the trout would be in sulking mode, but mid afternoon there was a steady amount of rises from all over the lake, I caught the first two wild brown trout, both about ten inches, on small dark wets, bibios and black pennel, and the other two later on in the afternoon, when the long shadows were stretching across the valleys. That was when my own home tied sedge pattern did the business, and had two lovely takes on them, surprisingly when they were static, nowt so odd as wild brownies, fabulous day, will be back to this location very soon, although next time may try Egnant. Can't fault four fish caught on such a bright sunny, almost still day. So I thank you Llyn Teifi for such an all round excellent day.

Arrived late afternoon to a rising river but found our favourite wood stretch fishable, just! 3oz leads held in the strong flow and with the two of us sharing just a single rod we hooked nine barbel, seven of which we landed to an impressive 9lb 8oz. Great beat, great fishing. Back in two weeks.

A very slow day on an unexpectedly high and coloured river. Fishable water was hard to find and the barbel in particular seemed very reluctant to feed. A handful of fish came to the feeder in the morning; but we didn't see one after mid-day despite staying until sunset. Still, a pleasure to fish a very beautiful beat. As noted by others, steep banks make some swims difficult to access, especially at the top of the beat; and the presence of a busy caravan club in the bottom field is not very inviting for those wanting peace and quiet.

Boiling hot day, but the river was in good condition with a little colour and dropping by few inches. Barbel and chub fed regularly throughout the session, all caught in the fastest water on 10mm boilies.
