Another amazing day on the wye plenty of bites throughout the day. Really good acces both sides of this short beat. All fish caught on feeder with barbel bomb, a little snaggy lost a few fish but you soon learn where not to cast. All in all a lovely beat and I can't wait to come back.

Beautiful stretch of river, but probably needed a little more water and colour on all beats, especially 6.
Hard going all day. Fished bend on beat 4 to begin with and was sure something would click, but all three of us drew blanks. Was sure Chub would feature, but it didn't happen. Lost fair bit of ledgered gear to snags too, probably large rocks, which seem to prevail here. Quite a lot of canoe traffic throughout day. All were fine, but never ever really felt settled until after 6pm.
From 4 till 6 fished beat 6. Far less snaggy, but desperately needed a little more water and colour on it. Deepest stretches seemed about chest high at best. One good wrap around bite, but fish threw hook. Again, ledgered pellet.
Will return. Would imagine Autumn here could be excellent.

Fished the top croy (not sure the fishing hut on the far bank is there any more ...assuming I was in the right place.
Walk down through the wood was steep but OK for me (may not be for others), and since I opted for the top peg it was a long walk along the bank; like the instructions state make sure you pack light!
Very pleasant evening trotting down off the croy with chub up to 4lb.

Day 2 of 2. A much brighter, sunny day. Three anglers fished the top end of the fishery for the morning but only 4 Chub on the float and 2 eels on ledger were caught, so when went back to the faster water at the bottom end of the fishery where the fish were not feeding in the main flow as before but were under the far bank bushes which is full of snags on the bottom, so we had the wade out and use heavy float tactics to get to them. Still a good day but hard work to hold the float at the far bank. We had 50 Chub 0.5lb - 4lb and 3 Barbel 5lb - 7lb on mainly float fished meat.
