River still running colored and only the occasional trout rising. Fished only 1,5h in the afternoon. The two small trout came to the nymph

Poor weather conditions with intermittent heavy rain and a gusty wind. Water slightly coloured. Very little fly life evident and only an occasional fish seen rising. Tried a variety of traditional wet flies and nymphs and hooked but lost one fish in the central part of the beat. However, a very nice stretch of river which I hope to return to in better weather.

2 x trout 6-10 inches, Monnow Gosling. Fishing in a great gale of wind and rain. Not many mayfly, not many rising fish, and most of those we missed. Plenty of fresh air at least.

Wet and windy day on the river. Trout in the range of 7" to 14" caught. River is very low but has some nice deep holes. Most trout came to the nymph.

River in flood, nothing caught.
