Warm conditions - some mayfly hatching, but generally very few rising fish. No joy with spiders, so reverted to beaded nymphs which took all three fish - around the 6-8 inches mark.

Hello. caught 3 brownies between 11am. & 2pm weather was reasonable until the wind got really rough & became impossible to cast, i was wading & the water became so choppy i had to admit defeat. Fish caught on Bibio & Black Penell. always a great pleasure to be here.

Fished the complete beat up to the top. Some nice trout in the deep pools but otherwise still slow fishing.
Nothing rising so all fish came to the nymph. Best fish about 11".

All returned. Cool downstream wind and temp of about 12deg C with low clear water. very little flylife and only 2-3 fish seen rising all day. Mink sighted on left bank. Fish came to Copper john fished deep after blanking on dry.

Condition good even though water level a little high not one fish showed very wuite, but had a good take on a fly in the vanstone and after 20 minute fight managed to land a 21LB clean cock fish.

clear and fairly warm early, colder with gusty wind later. No salmon caught or seen. fished tube fly on sink tip. one brown trout caught and released about 1lb.
