Although nothing caught, a pleasure to fish this beautiful beat. River a little low for salmon but was able to walk the beat and look for some potential lies when the conditions are better

A tough late afternoon/evening with low, clear river conditions. We managed a few fish though, barbel to 9lb 8oz, a 3lb chub and an eel all falling to pellet. Great beat, fish in top condition.

Nice, quiet beat, I did not see a soul in 3h of fishing between 0700 and 1000, a couple of likely places for Salmon and a good pool at the bottom. No Salmon caught or seen but I will be back here for another go. Thank you.

Fished from 5.00am until 1.30pm. Started overcast then the sun got going about 10.00. Decided to fish The Pot found it hard to get through the Chub. Came off the feeder and used a straight lead with a 18mm pellet or boilies that was the trick to sort the Barbel from the Chub.

8 Barbel, 26 Chub
