The two of us had the whole beat to ourselves on this beautiful Autumnal day and the river was in good flow with good colour. The fishing all happened in the first hour and then went quiet, but it was such a beautiful day it was a joy to be by the river. We both fished swim feeders with maggot and pellets and also trotted maggot as we searched for the fish. I look forward to coming back

very slow today, started at 11.30 and only brought 6 to the net by 2.30 pm . These six all taking 2.5mm pink bead on point . then for 30 minutes it was a fish every other cast from one glide. all taking 3mm gold bead nymph with a red hotspot. all grayling between 7-16 inches with the majority around 10-12 inches , the trout between 6-17 inches. after this half hour period the river just died. weather was very gloomy with no sunshine and a persistent drizzle all day. river just over a foot on the Lugg camera which is still too low for my liking but hey ho thats fishing

Hectic sport up until 2pm when the river came up a foot and killed things off. Had 18 Grayling of all sizes up to 16 inches on trotted maggot. Found dead salmon estimated at 15 pound plus with a chunk out of it...picture attached.

Fantastic scenery and a really nice stretch of river. Good mix of deep pools and fast riffles to make the Fishing varied and interesting. Average stamp of grayling about 6 inches but managed to winkle out 3 over a pound each. Most fish coming below the bridge.

River running hard and water very coloured particularly from the side stream which was very red and silt laden. Only a single fish taken which was returned. Lovely beat which I am sure would fish well given better conditions
