Blank afternoon. Loads of bugs but no rises. Nymphs not working. Frustrating conditions

All fish caught on Mepps 5

10 Chub, 1 Pike

2 anglers blanked, other angler had 1 barbel and 8 chub near the island. Lots of canoes ( some just don’t care ) and kept heading for the fishing lines. Beautiful stretch of river, shame the fishing was a bit slack.

Beautiful scenery, lovely waters. Had a trout on the line each that spat the hook before they were netted.

Another very quiet day waited along time for bites and what we caught weren’t very big so released them back

Very bright evening water low no barbel but happy with the 2 chub

Fished the wooded section. Fished pellet, meat and boilie for one trout and eels on meat, no barbel or chub. Tough day, I'm sure would fish better with some more water on. Absolutely stunning scenery, I'll definitely be back.

Low, slow water, bright sunshine and warm.
Not entirely ideal, though the river must be a great place to fish on its day. Fish started to rise at dusk then stopped and by this point an invitation to a chilled beer at the Bell became overwhelming. A lovey afternoon and always the chance of a return match.
