A lovely days fishing on a challenging little stream. Water was low but clear, a few rising early on, one beauty succumbed to a royal wulf the rest all on grhe nymphs. A total of 9 wbt ranging from 4" -9" and quite a few missed. All in lovely condition.

A lovely little wild stream but sadly very low water levels due to the warm weather conditions and no rain. Only tiny sections of streamy water and then mainly deep sluggish pools with no flow so impossible for nymphing as they could hear the drop of the fly immediately and no rises. Only fished for half the day. It would be delightful in different conditions and a little bit of cutting back on the beat would make a huge difference to access and casting.
Many thanks. Gilly Bate

Before even casting a fly, I knew that the two days booked where going to be a complete waste of time.
If there were salmon present, it was hopeless with so many visitors swimming, plus dogs and children in all sections of what could have been a fabulous piece of water. Canoeists were also present the whole day and it was laughable that it was offered for a day of fishing.
Not impressed and I won't return.

WUF Note: The top half of this beat does get busy during peak tourist season, and in this unfortunate circumstance meant it wasn't fishable. We have amended our notes to help inform anglers of this to prevent a situation like this reoccurring in the future.

Visited the Tarrell in the morning, showing an abundance of fly life hatching consistently but I didn't see or come in contact with any fish at all. Moved up to the llynfi at lunch time and had 6 lovely fish one being a lovely 11" fish to an olive Klink. Caught on mixture of olive nymph hares ear and dries.
