I could almost cut and paste yesterday’s report. River a little high (11” on Brecon gauge) but gin clear. Bright and sunny all day with breeze from west later. Fished 11:00 to 15:00. No sign of any hatch or fish showing. Fished nymphs in the crease of the runs at the top of the beat and then dropped down to the deeper water downstream. Not a touch all day. Needs to warm up a little!

Lovely day for my first trip on this river. Lots of wildlife enjoying the sunshine. Lost a small pike early on but nothing else to report. Just nice being there and I will certainly be back!

Water very fishable but very cold (no higher than 6 degrees on thermometer all day)! Plenty of spider and nymph fishing with no success and no fish seen, about to leave when spotted a fish rising 100 yards above bridge regularly so put a size 16 quill olive over it and landed it first cast!

River looked stunning and the sun made everything warm and enticing. Should keep dropping this week and will get even better. The run needs covering at 1ft 6

River was a touch high but clear the cloud cover forecast for early afternoon didn’t show so it was very bright all day that combined with the morning frost pretty much halted sport didn’t get a single offer or see any activity. Gutted for the opening day foray but that’s fishing

A beautiful day on the river but my is that water still cold!! A small flush of olives mid afternoon bought a couple of sporadic rises but nothing sustained yet. Both fish came to nymphs , think it will take a few more days of warm weather to get the trout truly moving.

A beautiful day on which to start the 2025 season. Blue sky, no wind, clear water. Fishing was quite tough. No hatches of any sort. Lost one fish, another better fish to the net. Fished klink and dink, both fish hooked were on a Duracell nymph.
