1 small Grayling on GRHR . Weather rain with the odd sunshine, cold wind 11 degrees, not much rising. Still an enjoyable day.
Stayed at the Riverside Inn, lovely accommodation and good food.

No fish seen or caught, very disappointing. Not find the Wye value for money given the amount of fish in the system.

Very slow couple of hours to start then there was a huge hatch of mayfly at 4pm which lasted about one hour . What seemed an empty river started boiling with rising trout . Size wise all around the 10-14 inch mark .

Lovely day, perfect conditions on a beautiful beat. Abundant fly life and lots of trout rising but clearly not impressed with my offering. Two wbt caught.

Lovely day teaching my father in law to fly fish, certainly a stretching task for a beginner
Mid afternoon rise brought a small fish to hand and then fished through to the 8pm. Had a lovely and very lively 1.5lb trout at about 7:30 on a smallish mayfly pattern 2hich was a treat
Good day considering I didn't fish for much of it as I was guiding a novice!
Saw a number of Danica and plenty of other fly life so heartening in that respect.

A lovely day was had, with changeable weather and good hatches of flies including yellow may dun and white mayfly. The hatch lasted a good 2-3 hours during which there was a purple patch for the hapless fisherman - me! In fact I lost count of how many fish I hooked... several got off, a few of the smaller fish - parrs - I let off in the river without bringing to the net. There were a few larger fish, trout and grayling up to 1lb and several smolts too.
Strangely though, even though the mayfly continued hatching, the fish seemed to all but stop rising around 16:00 and I didn't get any interest at all. No sign of salmon.
