Afternoon only so just fished top half. Warm and sunny, some rising fish, a dozen or so caught - most average size, but 2 around 10" one over 12". Water seemed pretty low for this time of year. Lots of fly life in the evening (after 5.00).

Lovely river water very clear didn't see or frighten any trout caught 3 out of season grayling on size 16 nymphs duo method under dryfly

No fish caught. Three showed in Vanstone in the evening.

Nothing caught although I did see a decent fish jumping in Whirly pool, which could not be tempted by my Toby.

Really great day to be out with warm sunshine but not for fishing... Didn't see any fish but lovely fly water.

Reasonable hatch of olives for an hour, but the sun quickly stopped the rise.

Sunny intervals and plenty of flies about and on the water but no rises. Failed on the dry fly so switched to a nymph and caught 1 trout. Very frustrating day.

3 trout biggest 9"all on nymphs. Very few fish rising. Hooked a good fish by the bridge which broke me. Unfortunately half way up lower beat were 2 cows who proceeded to gallop upstream. Not ideal for fishing or water quality. Nevertheless a lovely beat and I will definitely be back.
