Great day fishing on the river wye. 2 large graylings landed, 1 grayling lost and 1 OOS brown trout landed and quickly returned. If I knew the grayling were this big I would’ve bought my tape measure and scales! Will certainly be back.

Enjoyable but very cold day, air temperature 3 degrees and a water temperature of 5.6 did not hold out to much hope of catching anything. Managed 3 welcome Chub, 2 caught on stick float and bread flake and the other to curry flavoured luncheon meat.

Fished weighted nymph hoping for a Grayling but drew a blank. Water quite high still, not really suitable for wading so bank fished - hard going but still a good day on the river in decent weather.

Limited access not helped by barbed wire fence in 1st field, collapsed rotten stile, extensive tree cover and steep banks. 5 grayling and 1 trout all from same spot. Overpriced imo.

Trotting today, river at reasonable height (0.53 on Cilmery gauge), looked good. Odd small pockets of grayling here and there but had to cover a lot of river. Nothing of any size, largest around a pound.
