Excellent track for vehicle access. Very long beat but not a great deal of swim options with easy access. I know you have to clamber down the banks on the Wye to fish and I am not shy to climbing, but most of the areas we looked at were a shear drop off and I would need to abseil down. Did manage to find a couple of swims but still need my ground spike and rope. Fishing was slow at first but picked up in the afternoon.

Nice section with steep banks and a long walk to the top section croy, river looked spot on but failed to produce.. don't be put off by the hill, it's steep but not that long - although it was dry..

River started to drop and clear throughout the day, started to get a few bites towards the end of the day. Quite a short beat so a little limited if the fishing is hard. I’m sure in the right conditions it would be a great one day location. Reachable by car in dry conditions but very slippery when wet, 4x4s only. We parked at the top and walked down.. great decision!!

Weather varied all day with sun rain and cloud cover. River highish but very fishable. 5 thought caught on beads nymph on a French leader in the faster water. Pale watery hatch at 2PM caused half an hours dry fly action on one of the glides below Ashford bend. Caught 2 and missed many. All fish safely returned with out handling them. Fish mostly of just over l lb.

Started with dry fly but water seemed better suited to nymph fishing also very little in the way of rising fish even though there was a good insect presence all day. River appears to be at normal level but quite peaty coloured
