Enjoyed this beat as always. Pretty perfect overhead conditions but despite significant fly hatches there were few rising fish. Despite this, I landed and returned 5 fish under 1lb and lost a few others. All were taken on gold head hares ear fishing New Zealand style.

No salmon, but river clearing and weather warm and less windy. 1 resident showing in 3 also very large fish in 5.

V windy and sunny few fish rising all fish caught deep nymphs many fish lost, taking short lots of missed hits good day out.

A disappointing trip - not a rise seen all day. Plenty of insect life but nothing taking either the dry or the nymph other than a 6" oos grayling. Some compensation from the surroundings of this beautiful beat including a close up meeting with an otter.

River up slightly and carrying a bit of colour not ideal for the stretch. One salmon was hooked and lost during the afternoon. One fish seen as well. Lovely day's fishing.

Started fishing at 11am and after sitting for half an hour at the first pool from the parking spot saw a fish rising and took him on a winged Greenwell's Glory #16. 9" WBT. Hatches of what looked like March Browns throughout the day with some mayfly. No other fish to hand but many missed takes and 1/2 a dozen shook off. Wonderful sunny day.

Return for Sunday 24th 2 x rods and 3 fish caught. Was busy though lost/missed lots with my grandson who is just starting.
