Lovely day, 3 Barbel on time bomb feeder, with alternating pellet and meat hookbait.

Biggest barbel, 9lb 5oz and chub 4lb 8oz. All good sized fish and very enjoyable day.

8 Barbel, 6 Chub

Having persevered with the float for a few hours we eventually conceded there was a bit too much pace and colour. Moving to the feeder produced immediate results and we ended the day on 9 barbel to 7lbs and 2 chub.
As ever this is a very well looked after beat and has a great head of fish.

A hard day with only 1 barbel of 7.5lb caught.

Caught 3 grayling on a pink shrimp and a squirrel flash back nymph. I parked at the top of the beat with the plan to walk to the bottom and fish up. I found my way blocked by either treacherous wading or steep banks and vegetation. Fell in a couple of times.

The river looked in good condition after the rain. 1 barbel 3 chub.

1 x 12" grayling on a weighted nymph, 4 x 8-10" grayling on dry fly (Klinkhammer with pink body) and one graylet plus 4 takes not brought to hand. Water running high and fast but clear and not too many leaves - only fished the two main pools .
