Fished the middle of the beat - most fish taken on feeder fished robin red pellet with a couple on sweetcorn. Great pegs with easy access. Map was easy to read and we found the stretch easily. Great day.

Sunshine and heavy showers were the order of the day. The river again low and flow minimal. Had to resort to smaller baits and hooks to get a bite which even then were tentative. Managed three barbel to about seven pounds and two eels, all to small ellips pellets and feeder.

12 barbel and a few chub caught. A fairly tough day for this venue with most of the fish coming towards the end of the day.

River quite low & running clear, fish taken on dry fly (tan coloured Adams. Late evening was the best time. The fish are there but tricky to catch. Stealth essential, fish taking olive nymph in faster stretches of water. Had loads of takes on dry fly but found it difficult to keep fish on.

Remember luncheon meat? Switched to it early afternoon, immeadiate result 10lb barbel. All the other barbel were a similar weight and chub between 3 & 5lbs. One wonderful eel about 2ft long & 2 inch diameter who obligingly did a double twisting back flip unhooking itself & slithering back down into the river. will be back in the winter. 15lb line throuhout, snapped off by something that flew upstream at about 100 mph?

2 of us fished 2 days at Foy. 1st day was low and clear, the second still low with a little more colour. Only really two swims fishable when the river was this low which was a shame. Brilliant chub fishing regardless. Fish from 2-6lb on standard feeder tactics and a few eels just mix things up.
