Sinking line with a booby fly proved popular with 5/6 bagged. The last fish was caught on a floating line with a 'leech' type lure just below the surface.

River was low and slow, tried casting dries to rising fish but refusing at last point, eventually 4 trout from 4 to 6 inches fell to downstream wet flies in Aberbran pool. 2 large trout in the pool but not for me to catch this time. Will try again hopefully when river a little higher. Lovely setting, caravan in Aberbran camp site very handy but lots of children in river, (only having fun themselves! Bank Holiday! They did leave me to fish).

Long walk to beat and not many swims available. 5 chub.

Unfortunately a slow day with no fish movement seen. A beautiful stretch of river and will return soon to hope to have better luck.

After a cold night it was slow through the day with most action in the evening. Lost a few in a sunken tree in front of me, amazing conditioned fish. Will be returning!

Water was looking great, lot of canoes though.

Nice place, only saw one fish rising but water very clear and fish easily spooked.

Lovely stretch of river but very few fish seen.

11 pound cock fish caught on gold headed black 1/2 inch tube fly from Bachawy pool at 11am Saturday morning on a floating line with float tip. River low and clear with no fish seen rising. Was grateful for a lucky cast, fish safely returned. Dry and bright, 11 inches on the Llanstephen gauge.

1 Salmon

Lovely river and plenty of action despite low water and bright sunshine. All fish caught on small black klinkhammer. Thanks to the Foundation for making it all possible.
