A very enjoyable couple of hours spent on this delightful small stream. I only had time to fish up to the sewage works but managed two lovely wild browns of 10 inches and one of 8 inches. It was a warm day with loads of fly hatching but not many fish rising so caught all fish on a small upstream beaded hares ear nymph. I think just the right amount of trimming has taken place making the fishing challenging which is what wild stream fishing is all about. I would just add it would be helpful if there was some help in passing the in-stream live stock gates as these were quite challenging in waders rod in hand etc.

River at 1'6", gin clear. One fish showed in the Stone Catch and one heavy but very brief contact in the Lady Pool is all I've got to report. Thank you.

A great day at Cefnllysgwynne. Very hot and the majority of the fish caught early on before the heat came. Biggest fish of the day was 15", all to the dry, and all spotted and cast to.
A great day on a great water!

Dry fly, small Mayfly. Water just over the top of thigh waders. Kept 2 fish at 12 inches and put the other back, it was only 10 inches.

Great variety of flies hatching as well as terrestials but no consistent rise all the time I was there, just the odd one in some pools. Stuck with the Para Adams to tease out 6 at 6" to 9", no sign of the weightier brownies. Biggest sparrowhawk I've seen worked the field next to me for a while, successfully of course. Also, the caravan/campsite at the start of the beat now covers 3 fields so I left that stretch to the many kids and dogs.
