Fished this for the first time on a beautiful sunny spring day. River was a good height and clearing. A few insects were hatching but nothing rose to them. Four trout to a small gold headed PTN with the largest 12oz. A few hours work to tidy the river of winter debris would make dry fly fishing easier but perhaps that is cheating?

Really enjoyed this beat.
1 wbt of around 7" but missed a couple more bites. Saw plenty of fish, nothing bigger than the one I caught but loads of fish rising.
Only trouble was the rising fish had perfected the art of disappearing as soon as my clumsy feet entered the water!

Rose 2 but failed to hook them. Very few risers - lot of water inaccessible on account of steep banks.

Both fish around the 2lb mark.

Fished with dry fly over lunchtime. Despite a few hatches, no fish showing.

Lovely strech of water for a couple of hours fishing. Could do with clearing up routed trees from the main pools.

5 rainbow and 1 brown, the latter of which I returned.

Weather fine, temp 13c, all fish caught on spinner.

Fish caught on small olive dry fly at lunchtime. 12 till 2 saw fish rising to small olives with occasional march browns.

Fly fishing on nymph, brown trout. Good river condition, very clear.
